The Women in Business Law Awards are delighted to unveil their 2023 Global Advisory Panel, comprised of outstanding female lawyers from around the world. This year’s panelists provided invaluable insight and advice to help lead the Women in Business Law Awards globally.

Ann Nam-Yeon Kwon, Kim & Chang

Ann is a senior brand advisor at Kim & Change and a member of her firm’s intellectual property, trademark, copyright and design practices. With over 30 years of experience, she is an energetic and effective leader known for developing creative strategies and pioneering new jurisprudence. She has received various awards throughout her career, including being honored by IP Stars as a Trademark Star and receiving the Outstanding Achievement Award in the Women in Business Law Awards Asia-Pacific 2022.

Benita Lee, Google

Benita is Google’s lead data center attorney for Asia Pacific. A dual graduate in England and Wales and Singapore, Benita has over a decade of experience in infrastructure and energy and is a pioneer for women lawyers in this traditionally male-dominated field. Having been recruited from private practice by the tech giant, Benita’s role focuses on developing the full lifecycle of data centers while meeting Google’s commitments to 100% renewable energy. Benita works actively to foster greater involvement of women in the law and to ensure their voices are heard. In 2022, Benita was recognized as the Internal Rising Star of the Women in Business Law Awards for Asia-Pacific. She was also named Rising Star in the Rising Stars Awards (Technology) for Asia-Pacific.

Sarah Weekes, Euromoney

Sarah Weekes is legal counsel for Euromoney Group, a global B2B information services company. Sarah works on complex commercial contracts, intellectual property portfolios and M&A issues for the company. She plays a key role in legal affairs for all Euromoney brands, with a keen eye on business strategies and business activation opportunities. She is a strong supporter of mentoring and sponsorship programs for women, and a champion of change in work-life balance.

Yosr Hamza, Gartner

Yosr Hamza is Gartner’s Middle East Legal and Compliance Director. She was responsible for developing Gertner’s Covid-19 response and supporting the company’s legal rules of engagement and government procurement plan. Yosr co-founded Gartner’s DE&I legal counsel and is the regional counsel for the company’s Women’s ERG. In 2022, Yosr was named In-House Rising Star for the Women in Business Law Awards EMEA.

Chloe Yung, Crypto.com

Chloe Yung is the General Counsel for Crypto.com Group in Hong Kong SAR. A futurist, Chloe began her legal career working on IPOs in Hong Kong, before delving into the world of cryptocurrency. She was Crypto.com’s first legal counsel. Starting her career as a sole counsel, she built a global legal team in five years. She is a strong advocate for better work-life balance for women and family planning initiatives that remove barriers to career development for women lawyers. In 2022, Chloe was named General Counsel of the Year at the APAC Women in Business Law Awards.

Veronica Moo, NFP

Veronica Moo is the Assistant General Counsel for NFP, a leading property and casualty insurance broker, employee benefits consultant, wealth manager and retirement advisor. After beginning her career at an international law firm headquartered in New York City, where she worked in banking and finance departments, Veronica joined former client NFP as in-house counsel. Veronica represents the company in numerous corporate matters, including with respect to capital structure, debt management and equity transactions. She is a member of NFP’s Compliance and Ethics Committee, which is responsible for designing and implementing corporate governance practices and procedures, as well as its Credit Committee, which monitors compliance with covenants. restrictive operating documents of the company’s debt.
