PETALING JAYA, Malaysia, January 11, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Barry Callebautthe world’s leading manufacturer of high-quality chocolate and cocoa products, today announced the official opening of his Asia Pacific Business Excellence Center (APAC BEC) located in Petaling Jaya in the stove Kuala Lumpur region, Malaysia.
The BEC APAC will operate as a center of excellence, providing support across corporate finance and accounting, information management and technology, customer service, and other corporate services functions and shared. The Center will also help improve the customer experience through standardization and scalability of processes.

Malaysia continues to be a key hub for the Asia-Pacific region
The new BEC APAC in Malaysia represents a significant investment in Barry Callebaut in Malaysia and builds on more than 30 years of successful presence in the country. Now, Barry Callebaut employs over 600 people at its two manufacturing sites and R&D centers in Pasir Gudang and Port Klang. On top of that, BEC APAC already has more than 100 workers and aims to grow to 150 in the coming months.

Growth of the chocolate business in Malaysia
